Walking with SWSW

South West Surrey Walkers "SWSW" is an informal group who get together for walks twice monthly. We ask members to organise and guide walks. We do not have professional walk leaders, and each person participating in the walk is responsible for their own safety. New members are welcome but please read our information and guidelines before you join us for a walk.

Sunday 19th Feb

Morning Walk

Leader: Janet & Lynne

Location: Leith Hill, Holmbury St Mary

Details: 6.5 miles walk undulating with two steeper climbs. Muddy in places. Sticks would be useful if you have them. Good views from Leith Hill Tower - weather permitting! Meet Surrey CC Friday Street free car park for 10:00 AM start. (ref TQ 126 457)

Lunch: Stephen Langton Inn in Friday Street which offers a full menu (postcode RH5 6JR).

Morning Walk

Location: Ripley

Details: 5 miles level walk with a few stiles, may be muddy in places. Meet at Ripley Green car park for 10:00 AM start. (ref TQ 054 571)

Sunday 18th March

Figure-of-Eight Walk

Leader: Jenny & Pam

Location: Chiddingfold. Meet at The Green, Chiddingfold for a 9:45 start (ref: SU 961 354)

Details: Morning walk is approx 5 1/4 miles. There is quite a long stretch of road walking and other parts of the route may be muddy. The afternoon walk is approx 4 miles, and will start at 2:00
